Ottoman Cover

I found this ottoman at Target for 14 dollars years ago and it has served us well.  But the color of it is a little tiring after a few years, so I decided to make a cover for it.

I once made a cushion cover for a friend, so there is fabric leftover.  I decided to pair the leftover fabric with some new ones that I bought.

I then used some other leftover fabric to make the other side of the cover.

DIY Chair Runners

What are Chair Runners?  They are just like Table Runners but for chairs and couches.  

Ever wanted to reupholster a chair but do not know how or think it's too expensive?  Well consider making just a "runner".   All the material only cost me 10 bucks!!!!

So let's see if the covers can revive my chairs.  ^__^

Valentine's Day Gifts for the Hubby

For Valentine's Day, I decided to just make something instead of buying gifts for hubby.

I made a very simple cushion for hubby to use at work. i used a pillow case, stuffed pillow stuffing in it and made the cushion cover for it, adding the I "heart" U on the outside.

I also made a letter holder for his desk using left over crafts

the clothes pin can hold a picture or his business card

Made this cushion set for a friend's girlfriend, who likes guns. 

Fancy Cushion Cover

My friend said she couldn't find what she wanted for her cushions, so she asked me to make her two.  We went to Hancock's Fabrics and found something she wanted, and the best part? they were on SALE!!!!

Fabric and trim

First, I hemmed all the sides so that the side lay flat

 Now sewing the trim onto the hemmed sides

Onto the zipper

 First layer: hemmed side, Second layer: trim, Third layer: zipper

 then sewing the rest of the sides together with the trim
